I was about to place my order from newegg when I learn that there is 2 different models
P8P67-M PRO and the P8P67-M? One is Pro and another one is not.. what is the difference and should I get the Pro? I am thinking of the i7 2600k or the i7 2500k...

pro has 3x PCIx16 slots and 1x PCIx1 slot and the SATA are sideways
non pro has 2x PCIx16 slots, 1xPCIx1 slot and 1xPCI slot and SATA are top facing.

The Pro has more overclocking options in BIOS. While both support Crossfire the Pro also supports SLI, and has better graphics card spacing for dual GPUs.

So they have only 1 1xPCIx1 slot and not 2? What is 1xPCIx1 and the 1xPCI without the x1?

I wouldn't know about more oc options (i'd say the non-pro model would do fine for 24/7 oc) but the main difference is indeed better support for 2 graphics cards on the Pro model. CF and SLI in x8/x8 configuration while the non-pro second slot is x4 (although not a very big issue with cards up to say HD6950, just a few percent loss compared to x8/x8).

Other differences are:
normal has ide port for old hdd/dvd + external sata II.
pro has extra internal sata III port + external sata III.
pro has an extra casefanheader.

So if you don't plan on running two graphics cards and don't need any of the extra features the normal model will suffice.

@pectin: the x1/x4/x8/x16 tells the amount of lanes with which the pci-express port is connected to the cpu or chipset. The other port is just normal pci, which is getting old by now.

I have the P8P67-M pro. Great mobo. The BIOS on it is pretty slick looking. I havent done any OCing on it yet but others with same cpu and mobo have easily done 4GHz without a sweat. Over at HF they have threads dedicated to this mobo.

Recently Built:
Lian-Li V354 (case fans replaced with Noctua NF-P12 120mm fans)
ASUS P8P67-M Pro

WD Black 1TB HDD
HIS ATI 6950 2GB (plans to add another later on)
