P7P55D 3x2GB DIMMs - Which Slots?

Ok - been a while since I did a build so I need someone to confirm how I'm interpreting the memory config. I have a P7P55D Deluxe with an i7-860 cpu. I bought 6GB on G.skill DDR3 1600 memory (so I have 3 x 2GB DIMMS) I made sure the exact kit I bought was on the qualified list from the asus site.

My question is which slots to install. If I'm reading the specs right it looks like I should put them in the first 3 slots. Does that mean the first 2 will be in a dual channel config and the third in a single channel config? Is that possible or am I misreading?

Just looking for some insight whether it matters which DIMM slots I use and the implications.

Thanks!

Update: A little research and it turns out that the memory certification list from Asus on this MB is simply wrong. The specific memory kit I ordered based on that list would NEVER work on this MB. Got myself a bit updated on single, double, and triple channel tech, how that relates to the memory controllers on the CPUs and I'm all straight. RMAed the wrong kit and a new one that is confirmed to work on this specific MB from a number of sources is on its way...

New build - nothing that special but a big jump from my current rig:

P7P55D Deluxe, i7-860, Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR3 1600, Sapphire Radeon HD 5850, 1TB Caviar Black, CoolerMaster Elite 331, CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700, Windows 7 64bit
