I currently have the 0108 Bios. Is it worthwhile to upgrade?
What is the best way to install, if I should? Thanks
Here is my current configuration:

Silverstone FT02, AusTeK P6X58D-E with Intel 930, Kingston 128gb SSDNow, WDC Black 500gb,
TSSTcorp CDDVDW, Kingston 12gb DDR3, ATI Radeon 5850, HP ZR24w, Windows 7 64bit Pro,
SeaSonic X750W Gold, Xigmatex Dark Knight

I have this board running 0405. My I7-950 is running 19*211 = 4009Mhz, 12GB RAM at DDR3-1692. Having said that, 0405 sadly comes with a pretty old intel option ROM version. I updated mine before flashing to 10.1.0.1008 the latest from Intel. No other changes were made.

I recommend you update to 0405 using QFLASH utility.

If you want the updated version of 0405 you can get it HERE

I used ASUS and the update was easy. Are you saying I should QFLASH an INTEL 10.1.0.1008 of some other ROM update? Will this add to or replace the 0405 BIOS?
Thanks

The intel option ROM is integrated into the BIOS and cannot be flashed separately. If you choose the use the BIOS I linked above you will have to reflash the board with the downloaded BIOS file. Hope this clarifies.

I am trying this today and will post back.......

Edit- Correct me if I am wrong but INTEL 10.1.0.1008 is for raid and SSD drives correct. Meaning will it help if not using raid or a SSD drive?

Correct, however I remember reading somewhere about enhanced performance using this ROM version along with the new RST drivers (same version) from Intel. I will update this post if I can find the link to the thread/article.

Let me know how the modified bios works for you
