p6td no post, no beep

EDIT: erm cant edit post title. Its the p6x58 board, the p6t was the old one. Need more coffee.

Last couple of days its been weird on boot (single beep but no boot, double beep but booting with 8gb ram showing rather than 12).

Today it wouldnt boot, pulled out ram > no beeps no boot. Tried with one stick and two in various combinations. Tried different ram. Tried resetting CMOS (with the cmos button on this board).

This was a second hand board, has worked fine for like 3 months, but last board died with same symptoms.

Is it dead, jim?

Yes I have...
I tried alternate PSU, different ram, replaced CPU, different graphics card. Took the battery out. Nothing worked.

On a whim I put the original graphics card back in, original PSU and one of the original ram sticks in A1 slot. It booted! So then I started adding everything back in - right up to the original cpu, all the original ram and its still booting.

I'm about to connect back the hard drives and raid. ??!!?
