P5W DH ASUS Probe Issues. Anyone else have weird rpm reporting issues with X-Fi card installed?

Ok, so here's the situation. I removed my 955X motherboard and installed the P5W DH without reinstalling the OS. Worked great, but ASUS Probe stopped reporting (reports it as 0rpm) the fan 1 header, which is connected to my power supply fan. However, it worked fine on the first boot after switching the boards, but decided to go wonky after I had to reinstall the X-Fi drivers (those didn't automagically reinstall for some reason). The BIOS reports ~950rpm as does SpeedFan (it's funny how sometimes free 3rd party software works better than the 1st party stuff) and I physically checked to make sure the fan was spinning also. I used Ghost 2003 (figured it was smart to capture an image before gutting the system) to repeat the sequence of events and it is repeatable for me.

I've Googled about this issue already and only found one thread mentioning X-Fi messing with ASUS Probe, but there wasn't really any info there. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have links to others who have experienced this? I'm using the latest 1305 BIOS FWIW.

Asus Probe = Crap software.

This same problem creeps up on me from time to time, including the cpu temperature bug with CPU-Z - on 1305 bios as well.

I concur. I use Everest Ultimate to read all temps, and it seems to be glitch-free software.
