Ok, my friend have the following setup;
Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
Pentium 4 660 3.6 Ghz (Prescott Core)
2 GB of unknown brand (2 sticks) 4-4-4-11 1T timings.
ATI x850XT PE 256MB
2 x 160 GB Western digital SATA
120GB Seagate
160GB Seagate
320GB Western Digital
Samsung DVD-Rom SD-616E
Philips DVD+/- RW DVD8631
Latest bios (0802), latest nvidia drivers (7.13), catalyst 5.10, Windows XP Pro SP2 (Multiprocessor kernel), realtek audio drivers.
When the nvidia IDE drivers are installed, the machine freezes during windows boot. Using the /SOS parameter, we see it hanging on the screen displaying 2 System Processors (Multiprocessor Kernel) text.
Any help would be appreciated. Quick replies also.
