Hi All

I have Just finished building a new PC Spec as follows.

P5N-E-SLi
Core 2 Duo E6600
PNY 2x 1GB PC-6400 DDR2-800 RAM
Palit GeForce 8800GTS
X-Fi Platnium
Silverstone 650watt power supply
SATA WD HDD's
Pioneer DVD/RW

I am able to get to the ASUS logo screen before the POST but can't get any further. If i press DEL or try to select the boot device it just freezes.

Also the Keyboard doesn't seem to work after the first beep.

I have Reseated everything twice. except the CPU and tried one stick of RAM in Every slot.

I have now unpluged everything except from the CPU, Graphics card and RAM.
But still having the same problems.

Any Help Would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Ryan

What BIOS revision is on the board? It sounds like a memory/SPD issue, as this board can be pretty picky. Its possible the SPD is running default 1T command rate or undervolting the memory based on SPD. I know its not a good fix but the only way might be to get a different stick and boot with that, then change the memory settings/timings and swap the PNY in. Other option would be to get a new motherboard. Overall I'm not real happy with the P5N-E SLI and would've paid more for a better board if I had to do it over again.
