p5n-d sli question

I bought a asus p5n-d sli memory board. My initial plan was to create a dual-gpu setup, 8gb ram, and windows vista 64.

However, when I got the motherboard yesterday in the mail, I read over the instruction book and the setup page for sli says that it only works in XP32/64. Is this true? I really want Vista 64, but now it seems like I'm going to be stuck with XP64.

Thanks for any help.

I don't have one yet. lol.

I'm sort of buying it in pieces and after reading this board, it sounds like one that I want. I'm planning to buy the whole thing sometime next week, but I don't know yet.

Probably the xfx nvidia 9800 series card. It's 149 each with 512mb each.

Alright, I think I'll try it out. Do you have any idea why they put that in the manual, though? I assume it's because at the time, Vista didn't have stable drivers for sli? The manual date is May 2008... perhaps they didn't update that section on sli.

Chipset:
NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI

Scalable Link Interface (SLI?)
Support three identical NVIDIA SLI-Ready graphics cards (all at x16 mode)

NVidia now has chipset drivers for all OSs.
