ok, i have loaded my system with both windows xp and server 2003 and i get a ? in my device manager. once im done installing all my device drivers after the install. the ? location says:
on Intel(R) 82801GB LPC Interface Controller - 27B8
so i assume its something to due with the intel chipset. i have tried the drivers from both the asus web site and the intel website and i get the same thing. i have the newest bios. (0603) my nic will not work either im sure its due to the magic ? in the device manager. i have loaded windows 5 times now and the same thing happens, i tried installing the chipset drivers 1st thing on both os's as well as last thing (i loaded all the drivers then loaded the chipset drivers last) and it dosent matter. i thought about going back 1 version with the bios, but im just about to get a 950 and i dont think the 0506 will work with it. please someone help me out here, i would love to get rid of the ? and get my nic working again.
my pc will crash at random times and give me a memory error that im assuming is due to this ?. the odd thing is i had the pc loaded with xp before and did nothing but load the drivers off the website and i had no ? in my device manageer. im not sure if there is something wrong with the board, or if the bios. any help would be great. thanks in advance.
