upgrading from system in sig, as you can see its been while since I did an upgrade :)

Here is new system specs. Everything is purchased and should be here by next week.

P5K Deluxe / WiFi
Core 2 Duo E6700
Zalman 9700 110mm cooler
seagate 320gb sata 3gb
MS Vista 64bit
Hiper 580w PS
Lite on 20x sata dvdr
EVGA 8800 GTS 320 - this will be upgraded to 8900GTX end of year
4gigs - G.skill DDR2 800 4-4-4-12
thermaltake matrix VX aluminum case

I do not do very much OCing, but will bump up cpu little. should be nice upgrade from current system.

Looks good........... i'm planning a very similar upgrade....

Might want to wait until July 22nd for the cheaper Q6600. More and more programs/games will start utilizing quad-core and it will be solid for at least a year ;)

EDIT: I am using the 9700NT and it has been a fantastic cooler, easy to install (just don't put the motherboard in the case before you put the backside support on), and keeps it at very safe temps, even under Orthos load and decent OC.

I'm personally waiting for that Q6600 price drop to be paired with a P5K Deluxe.

Me too except I'm keeping my P5B Deluxe. It's still good after all this time. I thought it was dead, but it was only my memory which failed.

Crittias, looks good to me.

It does seem your going low on the video card but very high on the cpu. I would suggest going with the GTX or get the cheaper vid card and go for the 8900 when it comes out.
