P5B Deluxe Ram wont work in the A slots?

I have the Asus deluxe Corsair DDR2 800 x2 512 and system wil boot to bios with both sticks in the A1 and A2 slots but wont boot after leaving bios, system works fine running both sticks in B3 and B4 ?? Any one Know this problem?? the A slots do work with only one stick at a time?
