Thanx for the info.

Thanx markymoo for your constant P5B-D update mentions too, as it saves me having to dig around XS threads for info 😉

Any idea what this means, exactly?

If you have an early GX2 bios, then you might have issues with the board recognizing it at boot, this same issue happens on several other boards. GX2 bios version 5.71.22.33.08 or below have a lot of issues at boot and in Windows with proper driver recognition.

@Krazyjack1000
i think you new bios helped abit but to get that big an oc using 1 bios there must been other issues or things you not tried also. unless you never updated your bios since you got your mobo.

my research skills are legendary.

@n7 xs is not my first call. german,taiwan websites are better.

lol Sorry i should have explained myself a little better using the old 0614 bios i could only do 380 x 9 max 3.420ghz now that i have updated to 0706 it's letting me do 385, 390 , 395 , 400 even 410 x9 3.690ghz max anything after that for eg 411x9 wont load.

Haven't tried using a lower multipulier and higher fsb tho

Also waiting for 0709

For you overclockers, I'm using 706 and OCing at 3.3ghz....When I first start my PC, it powers up for about a 2 seconds and then it seems to shutdown then powers back up after a couple seconds. Should this be happening? If not, is it due to the memory, voltage setting?

Yeah BigTwin once overclocked a certain fsb it's normal read all the reviews they all do it, don't worry about it. Mine does it as well 🙂

Oh thanks Markymoo for the ftp link much appreciated

Ok, next question 🙂

I gamed while OC'ed at 3.4 and after about 10 minutes, my video card locked up and then I got the BSOD...something about a MACHINE........(forgot the rest)...does this mean I'll have to back down the OC or is there a video setting, etc I can change to stablize the 3.4 OC..

yep, got it locked...I can't seem to get by 378...reckon I need to up any voltages? from memory my ram is 2.1...vcore via Probe is 1.37...I think it's set to 1.4 or so in the Bios and the ram timing is a 4-4-4-12
