P5A+Western Digital

I have a P5A board that will not boot to Western Digital drives. One drive is a 100BA and the other is a AC2200. I can boot to a floppy then see either of the drives. The smaller was formatted, fdisked, and all that foo while on the P5A w/o incident yet still won't boot. The board was tested with another drive (maxtor) and booted.

The board rev is 1.06 w/ BIOS 1007.A

Any ideas?

Edit: the drives boot fine on a different board.

Is the C drive listed in the boot order in the BIOS?

Wierd, you do have the master/slave jumper settings correct, don't you? I used to have a 200AB on an Asus P5A, and it worked just fine. I have never heard of anything like that.
