Does such a thing exist, other than an INTEL motherboard.
Or is everything in the P55 boards completely Realtek?

Its features are somewhat dated by today's standard (no USB 3.0 or SATA 6.0 Gbps), the board is as solid as can be. I have built a rig on it for my loved one and it's been taking all kinds of abuse without a hitch.

I appreciate that, but (what I consider) 2nd tier boards don't instill confidence in me.
The USB3.0/SATA6.0 I can take or leave.

Any others?

Some recent P55 & X58 board versions use the newer Realtek 8111E lan controller chip.
Which seem to have better specs than earlier Realtek lan chips.
I prefer disabling the onboard lan and using an add-in card for that connection. But AFAIK, the 8111E chip is not available on a separate NIC card yet.

If you are just going to use onboard NIC for internet it's not going to make a wee bit of difference.
