6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with. best possible with budget

9. WHEN do you plan to build it? next week

10. Don't ask for a build configuration critique or rating if you are thin skinned

What is P5? (I'm assuming that you're not talking about the original Pentium).

Also, what resolution is your current monitor?

Im sorry I meant I5, and resolution around 1680 x 1050

Very similar to a number of build thread currently active in the forum.

Standard build should be along the lines of:
i5-760
P55 motherboard (ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI, or ASROCK if it saves vital $).
4GB DDR3 (1333 or 1600 is fine), preferrably rated for no more than 1.5V.
GTX460 1GB (although the cheaper 768MB should be fine for 1680x1050).
Single large, fast harddrive: e.g. 1TB F3 or Black.
Win7 64-bit HomePremium
Case to suit taste e.g. Antec300, CM-690
Reputable mid-range power supply e.g. Antec, no more than 500W.
DVD-RW to match case fascia.

any ideas on the motherboard. and in six months to a year could I add another 460 with the correct MB

its really about how much you want to spend. you can spend less or more.

if you want to sli just make sure it says you can sli on the motherboard info page.

OP, I wouldn't worry about SLI too much. Upgrading to SLI has a way of not happening when life gets in the way.
