P4X333 motherboards?

Against my better judgement, I am considering this chipset. Any word out there about it?

When will these boards be available?

Did you read the article done right here at AT? Link As to when it'll be available it should be soon but here is Via's Info on P4X333 It looks to be very impressive.

Why is it against your "better judgement". The P4X266a is a very fast and stable chipset. The P4X333 is just a faster version of it. Anandtech rated it the fastest P4 DDR chipset. If was to run a P4 I would look at what VIA has to offer. That and Shuttle and some other Minor-Major company's should be making Boards based off the P4X333. I think some are waiting for inventory to build up and to push the P4X266a boards out.

Perhaps I had dismissed VIa prematurely. I have had some bad Via experiences, and perhaps this is the board to pick up

The Via P4X333 board looks exceptional.

How is the BIOS support from Via as a company? Thanks!

I know if you get a VIA Board they have a 5 year Warrenty on THEIR boards. So if they don't update their BIOS then you can say something was wrong and send it back.
If in doubt get a Shuttle. They will have a P4X333 board soon and they are always good about staying on top of updating their BIOS

I don't really need new BIOS's that often I generally get a system running and then I leave it alone

I just like to know that if there is an actual problem that a BIOS will get released to fix it in a reasonable timeframe.

How much are these supposed to be, and when can I get my hands on one?
