Hi all, i am a user of HardOCP forums but since it is down for a big time now for upgrade and I need some answers i decided to enter in the second forums i visit most.
Here is my first doubt.
I have seen thet the VIA PT800 besides beeing a single channel chip has performance equivalent to the i875 from intel.
I have seen several boards with it in Brazil where i live. The one that looks to be the best is the ASUS P4v800-X, it is a very cheap board (wich i need it to be) and one with good features.
I need to know if it does AGP/PCI lock, just that!
I know it does FSB overclock 1 by 1 increment. I know i accepts DDR400, i know all it can do EXCEPT if it does agp/pci lock.
I couldn't find it anywhere, not even on asus site. The manual doesn't show it (i have downloaded)
So if anyone can have a clue about it i would be VERY glad.

Pt800 doesn't have a pci/agp lock, but some pt880 boards do. I don't know if they actually work.

Thanks for the info about PT800, but the ABIT VI7 based on PT800 has the lock according to ABIT :(
The ABIT VT7 too (PT880), and i can find the VT7 around here but the quantity of problems people are having with this Mobo and Radeons is enormous (at least in ABIT forums). Since i have a 9700 pro i don't want to get in trouble with it.
thats why i was thinking in a P4v800-X, but since i wanted to overclock my P4 1.6A i don't know if the ASUS is the better choice than.
