I jsut resently bought all the parts for my new system. I have a weird booting problem with winxp pro.
Specs:
p4t-533 bios version 1004a
intel 2.8ghz
2x samsung 256meg 232pin pc1066
ati radeon 9700pro
4x WD 120gig 7200rpm
sound blaster audigy plat.
adaptec 29160 scsi adapter
linksys nic
enermax 550w ps
lianli pc71 case
I plugged everything in, and installed xp. I am not running on the raid system right now. everything is going to my IDEs. After I installed xp, and warcraft III, my system would randomly lock up in warcraft III. So I got pissed and wiped my computer again. Now in order to boot, i have to have a floppy drive installed. if i remove my floppy drive and disable floppy drive in the bios, my computer will not boot into winxp. After my the bios, then my adaptec bios, I get the screen with all my computer stats/setup and it should goto the winxp screen, but it just sits. I've reinstalled winxp a few times now and im guessing my harddrive will not hold the boot sector to boot. I have no idea why. Should i just plain start over and remove everything out of my computer?
