Why isn't there more buzz about the SiS 655TX based P4S800D-E beating out the previous king 875P -- ASUS P4C800E? At a better price + better performance doesn't it deserve more attention?

I have the P4S800 Dlx - super board - beats out the 2 other I875 boards I have.

SIS has a bad reputation for less than super chipsets/drivers. Its going to take awhile to dig themselves out of this hole.

Sis may have come out a bit late with the 655TX. There is a new Intel socket due out soon so many people are waiting for that. Had Sis released the 655TX say in May or June then it would have dominated the 875/865. For $105 it is hands down the best mb you can get

Agreed the 655TX chipset is the new King of P4's, BUT a lot of Intel fanboys will ONLY use intel EVERYTHING.

It doesn't really outperform 875P, doesn't overclock as high, and will be perceived as not as "stable" until it's on the market longer and until SiS gains a better reputation for stable chipsets/drivers.

Still, it's a great board, especially if you're on a sort of budget.
