I just ordered a P4S533 with onboard LAN and was wondering if I will need all of the following drivers for Windows XP?

- SiS PCI Lan Driver V1.14
- SiS AGP WHQL Drivers V1.09
- C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Driver V2.75a
- SiS Bus Master PCI IDE Driver V1.0

TIA, Olias

I did not load one driver off of the cd. Win XP loaded everything I needed, and then XP update downloaded the newest lan driver. I am not using onboard sound, but I would bet it needs to loaded off the cd.

all you need is the AGP driver from SIS. DO NOT INSTALL THE IDE drivers they suck and degrade performance.

I have to agree about the IDE driver. I let XP install the updated drivers and I installed the IDE drivers myself...performance really sucked. Uninstalling the drivers didn't help too much so I had to start all over. The second time around I left out the IDE drivers and now I have the best-running setup of any computer I've ever built/used.

Do not install the IDE drivers. My burner stopped burning at the highest speed. The buffer kept dropping. I un-installed the IDE drivers. The burner started burning at the highest speed. All you need is the AGP drivers.
