i thought this would be the best place to get help on this mobo. this is a brandnew mobo i just got with brand new cpu and ram.
i got the new 1.6a retail cpu in with a stick of 512 mb of ddr333 samsung with V card and harddrive. the system wont post. i dunno why but it wont. it powers on but i see no video bios or even hear anything but the harddrive on. i am sure the board is not popular yet but i am not sure about the jumpers and all this nonsens, everything was default. also for P4 mobos, do you guys plug in 3 power connections? 20 pin, 4 pin (square shaped) and a 4 pin aux? thanks,
dino

You should be using all the power plugs for the P4 mobo.

Also might want to clear the BIOS before booting up. Just use CPU/RAM/Video card, unplug everything else. Also if that doesn't produce any results try, taking out the RAM and see if there any beeps, and do the same with the video card.

check to make sure it is seated correctly and that none of the pins are bent.

Are you trying to overclock it from the get go? (16x133?)
Maybe try 16x100FSB if you were trying to OC it..or try to disable the "halt on" option in the BIOS..set to none..that helped me and my P4S333/flashed to P4S533 board

OK, let me jump I here, I had a P4S333, that would not post, no beeps no voice, no video, only power. I returned it for a P4S533, installed it and and it says ?CPU failed self test? much like what is happening to DinoGucci.

So do I really have a bad CPU? DinoGucci, any resolution yet?

Also on the three power connector issue, I did connect all three the P4S333 (the board I returned) but on the new one I did not, it appears the EZPlug is just for PSU that don?t have the ATX12V1 connector. Would it fry the mobo if you connected all three, I don?t think so, or Asus would put a big warning.

I reseated the processor and hello! Everything is OK now. Well, let see if I can install XP now.
