P4S533: H/W Monitor Found an Error

This is annoying because it tells me to enter the Power Setup Menu for details but this is mostly power management with a couple of sub menus. I can only assume this has to do with Hardware Monitor but there are NO details of any error! If I don't enter Setup and instead press continue, there doesn't seem to be any problem. How can I stop this?

TIA, Olias

I don't have an answer, but you could try over at the following site:
Intelzone
They're fairly knowledgable about the asus m/b's.
I just got a P4S533, but haven't even taken it out the box yet.

Thanks Racer for the link and I did a quick search through their NG's. The closest I can figure based on my research is that my voltages are out of tolerance at POST. Anybody have any insight here... TIA.

I had the same problem with my new P4B533-V. One of the reasons that you can get that error is one of the monitored fans is underspeed. What I believe is happening is that if the speed of a fan is only slightly (~= 200 RPM ) higher than the min., when the post is being executed the fan is not quite at full speed. By the time you have entered the BIOS, it is now at full spped so you don't see the error.

I actually tested this theory, because all my fans in this machine are adjustable. So once I adjusted the speed of the fan from 1700 rpm to 1850, (he fails hard at <=1600) the problem went away :D

If you fans are not adjustable, just turn off the monitoring.

OTOH, The type of problem could happen with the voltages too. So I guess I would start looking at which parameters are closest to their limits.
