P4S533 and onboard lan problem.

I left my computer on for 2 day and having it download some stuff for me and automatically turned off for me when done, but when I got home, and turn it back on, the onboard lan magically "off". The green light that is usually on is off. In winXP, it gives me error that the cable is disconnected. But in the device manager, the status is regular. Also, I check under the properties of the lan driver and there is an option that said "allow computer to turn on device", checked. Did winxp turn this thing off? or What? If winxp did turn it off, how do I turn it back on? Please help. thanks
