Now a second person Thugsrook along with me about 3 weeks back have experienced same issue....

when taking this board up to 1.8v using the voltage booster jumper and the max 1.7v in bios damage is being done to the mobo voltage regulator....

shortly after hitting 2.52ghz stability with 1.8v set and 1.83v in bios I experienced problems...eventually diminishing returns on any volatge above 1.58v currently (has held steady for 3 weeks)....ram checked good, new power supply, no heat issues, plus errors are related to mobo chipset addresses....thought it was processor but I can't do any speed with voltage above 1.58v regardless if I set it to 1.55v and can run it just fine...new PS is rock solid 12v hold right at 12v...prime95 errors were never the type of errors that are common for cpu limit...usually program has done an illegal error and the subsequent stack dump list memory addresses of the mobo...Not os realted as I did 2 fresh winxp installs and 2 fresh win98 installs...most any multitasking of programs will error when voltage is above 1.58v regardless of even at default 1800mhz...

Thugsrook hit the 1.8v barrier and shortly experinced same issue...backed it down to once safe speedand 1.7v and now that appears to be messing up...he states voltage regulator is goiung nuts....

both of us never experinced temps much above 50c...I think thugs is belw 50c at load...

Anybody experiencing any issues similar??? I was thinking of getting a new asus p4s533 board to replace it but it seems like I wont be doing that...

seems like the voltage regulator is a weak link on this board.
ill be trying a i845 board real soon ;)
