Just got the P4S333 and a 1.6a. I got everything together and it posts. I can start the Win2k install, but when it gets through the initial file set-up and the "Setup in starting Windows 2000" message appears, the system hangs. There is nothing installed but the CPU, floppy, cdrw, and video card. I have set the boot drive to be the cdrw for install. The only mistake I know I made is that I did not connect the 4 pin power plu for the P4 the first few posts. I did when I noticed, but no difference. That wouldn't have damaged anything would it?
One other thing, the HD LED comes on only briefly during post. It does not light up again before it hangs.
I will admit that I was tired last night so I haven't tried as much as I normally would before posting, but I thought some of you may have some ideas for me to try when I get home. Thanks for whatever ideas you may have.
