Well, tomorrow i'll be getting the new 865PE mobo with some delicious DDR400 memory for my P4 2.4B. Now, I *DO* have the money for a new C version (although it costs nearlhy $270 here!!!! RAAAA!!!!!!!!!) and I'm wondering if it'll be whorthwhile to do it. thinking of only the 2.4C or 2.6C's.

Do you think it is reasonable to get a new C version if you have a B version of roughly the same speed?

Same speed??? Nope!!! Unless you run into a HOLE (166-199fsb) on that board and not accepting a p4b chip....

DCDDR mobos are not even worth the performance increase they offer by themselves so unless I am getting a healthy 400-500mhz gain in speed I like to jump it isn't worth it.....

I will be looking at running a 2.6c or 2.8c when they regularly get to 3.6-3.7ghz range on air and then couple that with DCDDR of 450mhz range....
