Been to Fry's - no luck. Tried to use one from my older Gigabyte m/b, but the plugs do not match the ASUS pin layout.

Any online vendors? Would like to get one that supports four connections, which is of course what ASUS advertises...

Thanks in advance for the help!

Asus sells MB accessory connections. Newegg carries several, look in the Asus MB accessory section.

Checked it. ASUS doesn't have the connector in their available accessories. They only sell USB PCI cards.

Point is, ASUS puts the USB header on the motherboard, but doesn't provide the connector to use it, and I cannot locate any such connector anywhere. This means that I now need to purchase a PCI card to add the remaining USB 2.0 ports to the back of the computer. These aren't that expensive, but I wonder why ASUS advertises 8 USB 2.0 ports but only delivers 4.

Newegg.Com also doesn't have the connector I am looking for. Here is an example of what the device should look like, although this one is only two ports, and isn't compatable with the ASUS board:

Check here...

If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate the input!

Thanks, Ep, for finding that for me. Looks like it should work, based on the description. The ASUS pins have a standard layout, so this should work fine.

Just takes $17 to find out, and its on order.

Thanks again!

You're right, this is the one ASUS shows in its manual. Good eye!

But it only provides two USB ports, when in fact the motherboard supports four more. I don't use a game port. In the age of USB, who does?? :) I would rather just have the four ports available.

But thanks for finding that thing!
