Well, made the leap. I was just wondering, if it's not too soon, of any issues I should be aware of. I ordered it w/ a 2.4c CPU and 2X256 MB HyperX PC3500. TIA.

Nice setup you will be getting there. I hope you can hit at least 275fsb on that thing. Keep us posted. 😀

Will this board run with a P4 1.6A processor? I would like to upgrade my motherboard since the one I have now (P4S333) doesn't have usb2.0 and now would be a great time to format c:. Would this board also run PC2100 memory. Whats the best price out there for it? it looked like 154 at mwave and 160 something at newegg(includes shipping and a free tee shirt)

This is where I bought the board:

You need a 400FSB CPU min. for this MB. I checked Asus' site, they don't even have it listed yet (due out May 21 LOL). I was looking at a $150 budgeted for the MB, but I was about ready to buy the P4C800 when I saw this guy. Saw the first benchmark, it has all the features I was looking for. And despite whatever customer service issues they've always put out solid boards (so long as the chipset is solid 😉 ). Well, they have it marked as packed but not shipped, so I won't get it until Tuesday at the earliest (almost a week after placing the order D: ). LOL, I was hoping I might sneak it in before the holiday.

EDIT: if it's socket 478, I believe the answer is yes. And the P4S333 is a skt 478 board, so yes again. Sounds like a winner, but no infor yet on memory. I think it's pretty touchy, you may need something faster.

What's up with this listing at googlegear.com ? Search for P4P800

Speed that blows your mind
Improving on the high-speed P4P800, this Deluxe edition throws in an rich-array of features such as IEEE 1394 connectivity, the unique POST Reporter and IDE RAID technology. Let?s not forget support for industry-leading specs such as the Springdale chipset, 800MHz FSB, dual-channel DDR memory, Hyper-Threading Technology, AGP 8X, Serial ATA and Gigabit LAN.

A typo for the deluxe vs non-deluxe ? The FW'ers would be going nuts.

Interesting. It didn't list as deluxe when I pulled it up, maybe I misunderstood. I did notice that there is a link to Asus' specs, and it shows it can accept 2100 memory. Well, I got my shipping confirmation, still might be in time for the 3-day weekend. I just finished fixing my friend's computer, so my work table has opened up.

EDIT: I'm SO slow, I see where you're saying it says deluxe.

Well let us know how it goes when you put it together.
