My p4p800 I bought only has 3 audio connections! ....

I have a tv tuner which needs to use a line in and logitech 560s that have 2 inputs...

is there anyway to do this so it works correctly....

the connections:

orange MIC
blue LINE IN/REAR speakers
green FRONT

so...i get green in the front....and i'd have to switch off between tv tuner and rear speakers for blue...which is really annoying...

I know the MIC can be used for a center channel....but i dont think it can be changed to a rear or line in right?

I CAN plug my speakers into the green and orange...and set my tv tuner to the blue....but i would have to change my speaker setup to STEREO instead of QUAD....so all 4 speakers play..but i think its more like a 2 speaker setup in stereo and not real 4.1...

should i buy a new sound card with more inputs?

Sounds like your going to need a soundcard to take full advantage of the 4.1 audio, either that or scrap the tv tuner card.

Is there no way of directly connecting the tv tuner card to the motherboard on an internal connector to save you using the line in socket?

I had the same problem, and decided to use the second onboard audio input. I purchased a $2 CDROM audio connector at CC, cut off the end that has the connector that plugs into the MB, and soldered the wires to the backside of my LEADTEK WINFAST "DELUXE" TV2000XP card. Works great, and I can use my 5.1 speakers. I am still working on a solution for a mic, but will probably get a connector at Radio Shack and drill a hole in one of the spare rear J panels. There is another MB connection for the mic. I don't have room the the ASUS 5 1/4 bay panel that they sell as an accessory.

For the cost of this board, they should have thrown a rear J panel connector with mic and input connectors.
