For some reason when I have an SATA drive installed on BUS 3 I can't set up a second IDE drive up as a slave. The BIOS puts the SATA drives in BUS 3 and 4 and the IDE drives on 1 and 2. The BIOS is setup with the CD-ROM as master on BUS one and the old IDE HD as SLave on BUS 2. It always boots to the IDE drive instead of the New SATA drive. All I want to do it copy data from my old IDE drive to the new SATA drive. Why is the MB being such a pain? Win 98 won't reconize the new drive at all so I can't boot to win98 on the old drive to copy to the new one. The new drive is SATA only which maybe means I am screwed.

Have a look at pages 2-26 and 4-12~13 of your manual where they're discussing the different "modes" that can be used. I think that switching to "Primary P-ATA + S-ATA" might be what it's wanting.

Heh, and people go around saying SCSI configuration is hard... ;)
