I have a 2.6c installed in this mobo. I noticed that in Device Manager / Processor, there are 2 entries for the CPU. I deleted them, but they keep coming back. Is it normal to have the 2 entries for the CPU?

Thanks for the responses. My previous 1.6a CPU didn't have HT so now it makes sense. Glad it wasn't a problem to deal with, thanks again!

Yup, a HT newbee is me. The mobo is an Asus P4P800 which is working perfect with a 2.6c CPU and HyperX memory.

Same setup I'm using. What timings are you using with your HyperX? Right now I have it set for SPD but want to try 2-3-2.

I have it set for SPD right now. I want to run it at BIOS defaults for a while to be sure everything works ok.

Bought a couple of dual-xeon servers from Dell...looked in task manager and saw 4 CPUs...was like h3ll ya, Dell screwed up and gave us 4! :D

turned out, they were HT-enabled xeons :p
