p4m instead of cel D 325 ??

I posted it already elsewhere but it is a notebook problem.

I got cel D 325 toshiba notebook based od ATI IGP 7000. I got a celeron mobile sl75j 2.4ghz but the machine doesnt see it (runs as if I didnt put the cpu in). the cpu doesnt work in some SIS chipset desktop mobo :/

Is that cpu dead for sure or is there anything else I could try?

Is it possible that my notebook wont accept mobile cpus because of sth (bios / mobo design) ??
