Hi,
I am totally new, but I think this topis won't be too lame for you to read.
I own Toshiba satellite A65-1362 laptop which is originally powered by a Celeron D 325 (2.53GHz) CPU. I found myself unable to accept the noise generated by it's cooling system when environment temps go above some 22 centigrade.
So I read the Net and found: ATI's IGP 7000 is designed for mobile cpus, the P4-M and Celeron D have the same pinout, some of my A65-1362 cousins are actually powered by mobile CPUs.
Then I purchased (on Polish ebay equivalent) SL75J 2.4GHz mobile celeron, put it in my laptop and ...... nothing happens - no error beeps, bo boot, dead (almost - power leds light up when power applied).
I tried this CPU in desktop mobo (sis chipset, dunno which, dunno mobo type, dunno even bios).
I am not sure if this cpu should work in the laptop or in desktop, please help.
thanks
