I just got everything installed on my new board and it's all working fine except one thing, the Promise raid controller. Here's the situation;
1.) I have nothing hooked up to it now.
2.) I don't want to use it as raid, but just extra IDE connections.
3.) when I installed the OS I did not hit F6 to install drivers.
4.) I did try to install the drivers just like normal after the OS was installed.
5.) Now it has the yellow ! next to it in device manager and has an Error massage that says "This device cannot start. (Code 10) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

- Did I mess up by not installing the drivers earlier?
- Can I still set it up to use as an IDE channel? I set it for that in the BIOS
