P4C800 E owners, what's your best tweak

Just got this board up and running this weekend. Everythings seems to be working pretty well so far.

Several issuses so far:
Every once in a while it makes the sound like I'm pluging in or removing a usb storage device.
Messenger seams to load and run very slow.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas on these or any other tips it would be great.

I know that when you boot, you will hear a beep for each usb device currently plugged in an on. As far as intermitent beeps while you are running, the only thing I can think of is a device you have turned on that puts itself into a sleep mode whe not used for a while, like the printer, scanner or maybe even a wireless mouse?

As far as tweaking goes, I played around a lot with memory timings only to find they don't make much difference. The big gain will be upping your fsb. It will take a lot of experimentation until you reach a point where your machine is still stable and your are comfortable with it.

I had a Irwin card reader (i500) connected to usb 7&8 and the front usb on by case to 5&6. Disabled those and solved that problem for now. It seems to make a difference in the way the systems "feels" also.
