I have absolutely no experience with OC'ing and I am building a new system. I do not plan on OC'ing right away, but would like to try later on after I learn more about. I am also thinking about getting this ram: Corsair. Will this also be good for OC'ing. Will be using a P4 3.2.

Not sure what the main performance differances are between the Northwood and the Prescott, but I will be using the Prescott. I have heard that it can get hot. Other than that, should I be ok for OC'ing when I decide to try it?

If you are able to keep a Prescott's heat in check, theoretically you should be able to overclock it higher as the Prescott's deeper pipelines can tolerate higher frequencies.
But, I don't know how that theory will translate into real world outcomes. Just make sure you have a good CPU cooler.
