P4C800-E Deluxe hd?

I have a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard and 2 WD SATA drives. The mobo has 2 SATA connectors and 2 SATA Raid connectors. I'd like to add a 3rd SATA drive without creating an array. Can I plug a non-raid configured drive into the SATA Raid connector?

thanks in advance

It should be doable. you might need to install drivers to enable the controller and make sure the controller is set to SATA in the bios.
