i am considering purchasing a western digital raptor sata drive but had heard this board has problems with sata, are the problems only with sata raid or also just a single sata hard drive, i dont care about raid. i have had the board for quite awhile and its been working great for me but ive never used serial ata so far

that board should be able to support up to 6 harddrives. and NO you do not have to have two serial HD for them to work. I dont use RAID either, but was planning on getting two of the new WD 76gb 10,000rpm SATA Raptors to put in a RAID 0 config. you only need two of the same if you are using RAID.

Hi Camofrog
I am also considering getting the same board. How easy it is to overlock the CPU. Any other reason you choose this instead of Abit??

When you use sATA RAID on this board, does it use the Promise controllers or the Intel CH5R?
I think the P4C800-E has the Intel CH5R built in while the P4C800 does not. I could be wrong.
