I have a P4B motherboard from ASUS based on the i845 Chipset. According to the Manual it says that each DIMM can handle up to 1GB of ram, so 3GB MAX support on this board.

Believing the specs I went out and bought 2 systems planning to use 2 GB of ram, (2 sticks of 1Gig) I havnt been able to get my system to POST with any configuration of the 1GB sticks. However when I put in a 256MB or 512MB chip it POSTS fine. I even went out of my way and called up ASUS technical support and they told me that the board doesnt support SAMSUNG, which is the kind of chip i got. And only chips by Corsair Micro is supported. Andyhui or any experts here that know how I can get this system run with 2GB of RAM, i really need to get this working. If anyone has first hand experience or can verify that this system can run with 1 Gig chips please tell me what brand!! Appreciate everyons help and time, thanks.
