Have a 2.8P4 @ 800Mhz and 2x512 PC2100 and a board that says it will support all of these things but what will i be missing by doing this combination? or will it even work? i havent plugged it in and tried yet only cause i haven't gotten the vid card but just wondering if it will be underclocking the 2.8 to something like a 1.4?

If you put it on a 800Mhz capable motherboard, you just have to set them mem to run 3:2 and pray :)

The CPU should still runs at 2.8G. Just the memory throughput will be lower than if you were using PC3200. I am in the same boat in that I have 2 sticks of PC2700 but most new chips use PC3200.
