P4 vs Celeron in RC5????

OK... what am missing here...
Celeron 1100....3Mkeys/sec.
P4 2.4GHz...3Mkeys.sec.

Just doesn't seem right... Both clients are running the auto-selected core based on correctly identified processors...Win XP. What's up with these running the same rate? How am I doing comparatively...?
 
That's right. The P4 lacks the hardware rotate instruction which makes it slow on rc5 and on most dc projects :-(

That was something I was all geeked up about with my upgrade!
Any projects that it works well on? Grrrr:disgust:
 
Yep ,does quite nicely on SETI if it has DDR or RDRAM🙂

clock 4 clock its not as fast as an Ath XP but it does well🙂
 
I remember alot of discussion last year, I think from Train, about trying to compile a client for the P4. I think at this point, since the project is rolling over to the red side of done, it probably won't happen.

The P4 supposedly does well with Prime95 though, I understand.
