Without starting a flame war, take a look at the latest Anandtech review of the Athlon XP. It directly compares all the new XP's along with the 1.4 Athlon-C to their P4 counter-parts. Then head over to pricewatch.com and take a look at the prices of P4's compared to Athlon XP's, along with mobo prices for both the P4 and XP as well as RDRAM vs. DDR prices. P4 enthusiasts will argue until they're blue in the face that Intel provides better stability and ease of use/installation, but with the emergence of the KT266A/nForce chipsets and the XP's, there's not much doubt that Athlon is the price *AND* performance champ right now.
