I just upgraded my work PC to a Gigabyte board that doesn't support voltage on the Vcore. I've been reading about the wire trick to volt mod the P4's and gave it a shot. That is one tough thing to do unless you work on watches for a living. (Those dang pins are small, much less trying to holding a wire on to them while inserting the CPU to the board).
So I had an idea, why not try some of that old Rear Window Defogger Repair stuff from my old Athlon days and paint the bridge in. I got a couple of painted toothpicks dipped in the stuff and placed a dot between the two pins. (Use a painted toothpick because the unpainted wants to absorb the solvent and drys before you can get to the pins with it)
The stuff works like a charm and fairly easy to scrape off with a toothpick if you screw-up.
