Okay. I'm looking into upgrading my old PIII system and I don't have a clue where to start so here I am asking for your advise. I'm not looking for the most blazing fast thing out there, but it has to be rock solid stable. I've already ordered a 512MB PC2700 stick of RAM from crucial and I'll probably order another after I get the system up and running. Now I just need to know what board to get. I don't want/need RAID, onboard NIC, onboard video, or a built in soundcard or modem. So what's the best solution out there for someone like me? Remember stability is what I'm looking for. Not overclocking features. Firewire would be nice, but not required. Also must have excellent product support from the manufacturer.

Thanks,
Shannon

I would get an Asus P4B533 most likely.
I love those boards.
best P4 board I've used.

My 02 cents,

If stablility is your main concern, get the intel 845PEBT2. It probably has more onboard features than your looking for, but its nice having all those empty PCI slots when your done. Anantech did a review of it a while ago, look here: REVIEW
