P4 socket adapters...

I got in on the Celeron 1.7 ghz, socket 478-423 adapter, and mobo combo at Fry's a week or so ago, and i was able to pick up an Abit TH7-Raid very, very cheaply over the weekend, and some Rambus memory to go with it, what i want to know is if im going to run into problems running the celeron or any other P4 on the TH7 using the socket adapter, and if so would i be able to use the bios from the TH7 II on it to try to correct any problems. Or did i make a dumb purchase on a board that will only suppord the "old" style P4s.

TIA

the whole combo (celery 1.7, socket 478 to 423 adapter, and ECS p4s5a2 mobo) was 79+ tax, a good deal considering the chip alone goes for 75 on pricewatch. Also anyone know where i can get the correct IO shield for the TH7, aparently the one i got didnt have the right IO sheild!
