I currently have 2*256 in dual channel. I've been looking into getting 2*512. Will it hurt gaming performance to use all for of them or should I get the 2*512 & try to sell the 2*256?
 
If you keep your current 2x256 and add another 2x512, that will bump you up to 1.5GB total and you will still be running in dual-channel mode. Should be OK.
