What is the thermal limits of the P4 Prescott 3.6GHz? ...and what is the ideal temperation?

My idle CPU temp is around 48-52 degree C. When I use the CD writer, it goes up to 75 degrees C. I have a Gigabyte Cooler Pro (PCU21-VG). I just removed the thermal compound that came with the system and added Artic Silver 5. Still no change.

At what temperatures should I start worrying?

I have read many of the thread on prescott CPUs. I didn't find answers to my specific questions.

Thank you in advance...

I believe it starts to throttle at 70C meaning it will clock down to 2.8ghz. 75C you might want to think of getting a new heatasink because that is bodering on the edge of too hot.
