I bought a new motherboard and cpu, and found out that i need the 12v 4 pin connector..
Theres adaptors that ive seen for a molex to atxp4-4pin connector, kind of like this one
http://www.xpcgear.com/p412volt.html

i realize that its 5.5v though, not the required 12.. how would something like this work?

thanks

You will eventually find out that your power supply isn't up to the job anyway. That's because of the altered power balance between 5V and 12V rails with the mainboards that power the CPU off that separate 12V wire.

Oh, the adapter does provide 12V alright.
