Hiya!
Late last week i got a sl6rz and have been trying to find it's limits. Currently i'm only able todo 180 stable (3.2Ghz or so). I've tried ramming up the voltage but that's not it, same with teh ram (and the ram isn't even running at it's rated speed).

Now, when i start to pass 180, i start to get these weird stability problems. Not my comptuer locking up or anything, or prime giving me rounding errors, it just reboots out of no where.

I'm sure this isn't a RAM problem since i got some Hyperx pc3000 that are running at the lackest settings i can do. I'm sure it's not the board (P4g8x-Deluxe) since people are able to at least break 190 on these things. My bud, Tetsuo, said questioned me about my psu.

Currently i'm running a 300W p4 certified thinga-ma-bob w/ a 9700, 80 gb hd, burner & dvd drive.

Is he right? or could it be something else?

thanks for reading my long essay on this!

If you are using XP, turn off the auto reboot on errors message. That way you can get a blue screen, and find out what is causing the problem.

reboots are a symptom of an inadequate PSU, especially with a 9700. You should have at least a good 450W PSU to ensure overclocked stability. Offhand I would recommend Antec or Enermax.
