P4 Operating Temperature

Hi!

I have an ASUS P4T533-C motherboard running a 1.6 Pentium 4 A (512k cache) overclocked to 2.133 GHz. I was just wondering what the normal operating temperature should be. Asus Probe tells me the CPU temperature is 38-39 celsius when idle. When it is really working, it can get as high as 50 celsius. The motherboard temperature is pretty constant at 35 celsius.

Is this the normal temperature range for this CPU/MB combination?

Yes that's very normal.

Yes, those are normal temps. I have a 1.6A running at 2.24Ghz on a P4S533 and my temps are 39c idle and 44c under load.
